Dress Code

While PCPA will not enforce a dress code for class enrollment or participation, the following items are recommended by genre to best promote the individual success of each student and optimize participation

Ballet:

  • Girls: Leotard, pink or flesh toned tights, leather or canvas ballet shoes, hair pulled back (preferably in a bun). Tutus are permitted up to age 6.

  • Boys: White or black t-shirt, black leggings or form-fitting bottoms, black canvas or leather ballet shoes

Ballet/Tap Combo:

  • Leotard or non-restrictive clothing (form-fitting t-shirt, athletic bottoms), ballet and tap shoes, hair pulled back. Tutus are permitted up to age 6.

Parent & Me:

  • Non-restrictive clothing. Parents should wear athletic attire and sneakers.

Hip Hop:

  • Non-restrictive clothing (form-fitting t-shirt, athletic bottoms), non-marking sneakers, hair pulled back, NO dangling jewelry

Tumbling:

  • Non-restrictive clothing (form-fitting t-shirt, athletic bottoms), non-marking sneakers, hair pulled back, NO dangling jewelry

Musical Theatre:

  • Leotard or non-restrictive clothing (form-fitting t-shirt, athletic bottoms), ballet or jazz shoes, hair pulled back

All-in-One Dance:

  • Leotard or non-restrictive clothing (form-fitting t-shirt, athletic bottoms), ballet or jazz shoes, hair pulled back
